Field Auditor

Overview Field Auditor - 2602468 at D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Field Auditor to ensure materials meet company standards and takeoffs are accurate. Responsibilities Perform on-site inspections of homes during the construction process, focusing on materials and material usage. Check jobsites for materials that can be returned for credit; coordinate with the superintendent to email a material count to be returned. Determine if accurate material quantities are delivered; coordinate with material suppliers on incorrect or damaged deliveries. Identify incorrect material usage by subcontractors; provide direction on correction and communicate issues to the Construction and Purchasing Departments. Stay current with applicable building codes and OSHA requirements that affect material types, usage, or quantities. Audit jobsites to confirm material takeoffs are correct and communicate adjustments to Purchasing as needed. Audit jobsites to ensure vendors are using materials per the plans. Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and support company goals. Perform field audits to verify slab prep measurements before concrete is poured. Issue back charges for material overages or work with the Superintendent to issue back charges as appropriate. Make minor corrections if on-site issues are identified. Ability to work overtime and travel overnight.
