Process Development Associate- Attribute Sciences

Amgen seeks a Process Development Associate for its Attribute Sciences department to support protein characterization and analytical method development for biologic therapeutics. The role involves HPLC/UPLC and mass spectrometry analyses, method qualification and transfer, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on commercial process development and regulatory submissions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify analytical methods using chromatography and mass spectrometry platforms
- Perform protein characterization studies including peptide mapping, intact mass analysis, and fractionation
- Transfer qualified analytical methods to Quality Control with troubleshooting support
- Coordinate attribute identification and stability studies to support product development and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with process development teams on commercial manufacturing process characterization and validation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related scientific field, or Associate's degree with 2 years scientific experience
- Experience with HPLC, UPLC, and mass spectrometry analytical techniques
- Background in analytical method development and protein characterization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage complex projects
- Self-directed professional capable of collaborative teamwork
- Preferred degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Protein Chemistry
