Assistant Controller - P&C Insurance

Assistant Controller - P&C Insurance Location: NW Chicago suburb - Hybrid Client provides risk solutions and offers a fast‑paced, exciting, growth‑focused environment. About the Role: We are looking for an experienced P&C or life accountant whose career includes a quality educational background and whose insurance accounting career shows upward advancement and growth. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in P&C insurance carrier day‑to‑day accounting operations, general ledger, account reconciliations, process improvements, audit support, commission accounting, reinsurance, budget/forecasting, premium loss reports, accruals, prepaid expenses, and related functions. Responsibilities Promote financial integrity and meet deadlines. Mentor 2 accounting professionals. Report to VP & Controller on site. Build processes and internal controls. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in the areas listed above, strong knowledge of P&C or life insurance accounting, and the ability to manage GL, reconciliations, audit support, commission, reinsurance, budgeting/forecasting, premium loss reporting and related functions.
