Physician Assistant

Pioneer Peak Orthopedics is a privately owned Orthopedic Practice in Wasilla Alaska. We are seeking a full-time Physician's Assistant to join our team and partner with one of our orthopedic surgeons. Physician Assistants host their own clinic in conjunction with their Physician. A qualified applicant would also assist surgeon in all procedures at the hospital and surgical center as well as round on inpatients post-surgery. The PA is expected to be on call with their sponsoring physician on a rotating schedule which is typically one weekend out of every eleven. Call duties include fielding phone calls and assisting in trauma cases. We are willing to train the right applicant. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited PA program Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to multitask and prioritize The desire to learn and grow skillset Able and willing to work independently and as a team member Current Alaska PA License and NCCPA certification preferred Compensation: Competitive salaried position. Rate dependent upon experience Full medical benefits with 401K benefits as well Disability and Life Insurance, paid by the practice. 25 days of PTO and 5 days of CME per year.
