The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day shipping and receiving activities to ensure materials, products, and shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures. This position serves as a lead resource within the department, helping prioritize workflow, resolve shipping and receiving issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely movement of materials throughout the facility. The Shipping & Receiving Lead works closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments to support operational needs. This is a hands-on position and does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and instructing the daily responsibility of the Warehouse/Logistic personnel.
• Ensuring compliance with all Warehouse & Logistic procedures, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping process.
• Picking and pulling inventory to complete Sales and Production orders.
• Coordinating with Production team to ensure completed orders are properly prepared and prioritized for shipment.
• Coordinating cycle counting activities and promoting inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse.
• Packing completed orders, staging shipments, and ensuring orders are properly prepared for pickup or delivery.
• Performing required quality checks on shipments to ensure accuracy and minimize shipping errors.
• Processing shipment transactions in the ERP system and coordinating freight pickup scheduling.
• Preparing and processing all required documentation for purchase returns and coordinating shipments to vendors.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and support department goals.
• Communicating damaged shipments, discrepancies, and shipping errors to the Warehouse Manager and assisting with resolution.
• Assisting with warehouse organization, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
• Performing other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
• Frequently lifting and moving parts weighing approximately 5-30 pounds from various heights and pushing or pulling dollies and carts for distances up to 300 feet.
