Job Summary: Provide exceptional service to patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues by performing laboratory tests with precision, timeliness, and professionalism. Communicate test results effectively to ordering practitioners, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of accuracy in all laboratory testing procedures.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and routine maintenance to uphold regulatory compliance.
- Adhere strictly to guidelines set by regulatory agencies.
- Manage workload efficiently and report any outstanding specimen issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve problems and maintain productivity.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to changing responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Experience: At least one year of laboratory work experience post-training is recommended but not mandatory.
Licenses or Certifications: American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification is preferred.
Work Shift: Night shift (4th shift) with a scheduled 36-hour workweek.
This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
