Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll lead the Finishing area, develop front-line leaders, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and influence key decisions that impact safety, quality, productivity, and team performance. You learn to perform new tasks as required for business needs and are willing to work various shifts and extended hours if necessary.Responsibilities include:Assigning available staff to processes based on dynamic crewing models, skills, experience, and operational needs.Hiring, onboarding, and developing team members in accordance with company standards and training processes.Providing ongoing workforce planning and resource management support to the Shift Manager while directly leading the Finishing area.Managing team utilization, workload distribution, attendance, and overtime to ensure operational efficiency.Mitigating resource constraints by reallocating labor, adjusting priorities, and optimizing staffing levels.Serving as the Shift Manager in their absence, providing leadership and direction to Supervisors, Leads, and shop floor team members.Championing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.Enforcing workplace safety standards, reporting incidents, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and company policies.Ensuring complex operational issues are effectively managed and resolved through clear action plans.Overseeing process optimization and validation activities to drive consistency and operational excellence.Managing complex production deviations, partnering with Quality and Engineering teams, and providing leadership and mentorship to Production Supervisors.Identifying strategic process improvements through data analysis and implementing change initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and performance.Communicating operational performance, challenges, and key achievements to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.Collaborating with cross-functional partners, including Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations, to achieve manufacturing objectives.Utilizing the shop floor data system to drive performance, ensure data accuracy, and minimize downtime across production areas.Managing material usage variance and developing action plans to optimize yields and reduce overages.Qualifications include:Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably within the bakery or dessert industry.Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing supervisors and production teams.Experience managing multiple supervisors and/or overseeing large production teams.Experience leading operations within a high-volume bakery, dessert, or food manufacturing facility.Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, workforce planning, continuous improvement, and process optimization.Knowledge of cGMP requirements, food safety standards, workplace safety regulations, and quality systems.Demonstrated ability to leverage data, analytics, and performance metrics to drive operational results.Experience utilizing performance management systems and operational metrics to drive accountability and performance.Advanced problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Experience with utilizing MRP systems to manage inventory, traceability, and on time delivery of ingredients to shop floorWhat we prefer:Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification or training.Benefits include:Eligible for Annual BonusMedical, Dental & VisionEligible for benefits first day of the month following 60 days of service401K with company match2 weeks of vacation which increases to 3 weeks starting in your 5th year5 days of sick time per year (first year prorated)Tuition Reimbursement of $2,500 for qualified programsAdoption Assistance Benefit of $2,50025%-35% discount when dining as a guestReusable gift card loaded annually for your dining enjoymentAbout the Company:The Cheesecake Factory Bakery creates over 35,000 delicious cheesecakes per day across our two facilities in Calabasas, CA and Rocky Mount, NC plus other baked products for our restaurants, international licensees, and third-party bakery customers.The Cheesecake Factory Bakery is a subsidiary of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated.
