Description:

Diagnoses include but are not limited to general medical-surgical, peritoneal dialysis, and radial band recovery (no PCI). Weekend shifts are every other weekend. Must be flexible to facility scheduling; no schedule requests can be made or accommodated, and no block schedule requests are allowed. No on-call responsibilities. Floating is required within facility and scope of practice as needed. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The daily census is 20 patients with a bed count of 20. Patients include adults and geriatrics. If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant on time, the start date will be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Compliance items must be completed within the required timeframe. Non-billable orientation hours are determined by the length of the assignment.
