Physician – Anesthesiology The Department of Anesthesiology at Banner – University Medicine Tucson, in partnership with the University of Arizona, is expanding its Clinical Faculty and is actively recruiting experienced anesthesiologists to provide exceptional patient care across a tertiary medical center, a Level 1 trauma center, a transplant center, and an ambulatory anesthesia group. Position Overview As a Clinical Faculty member, you will partner with a dynamic team of peers, CRNAs, residents, and fellows in a modern and technologically advanced healthcare setting. You will receive a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona commensurate with your academic credentials and will participate in teaching and curricular development while caring for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities Provide general anesthesia services across adult and pediatric populations. Specialize in cardiac anesthesia (adult or pediatric), critical care anesthesia (CVICU), obstetric anesthesia, acute pain, or neuro anesthesia as indicated by departmental needs. Deliver anesthetic care at a tertiary medical center, level 1 trauma center, and transplant center. Serve as a faculty mentor to residents and fellows, including teaching rounds and didactic sessions. Participate in curriculum development and clinical governance. Contribute to multi-disciplinary teamwork and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in anesthesia by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Clinical experience in adult and/or pediatric anesthesia with exposure to cardiac or critical care settings preferred. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, mentorship, or academic medicine. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work 14 shifts per month in a full‑time capacity. Benefits Base annual earnings of $530,000 +. 14 shifts per month for full‑time service, with shift differentials and sub‑specialty pay. 100,000 USD loan repayment and Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility.
