Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

Overview The Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) is a senior technical role responsible for the execution, quality assurance, and professional ownership of survey deliverables supporting Ascent Geomatics Solutions’ work in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and surrounding regions. This position is anchored by active Texas RPLS licensure, which is considered foundational to the role, and supports oil and gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on technically complex boundary resolution and defensible survey deliverables. This role is primarily internally focused and is not a department management position. The Texas RPLS serves as a trusted technical resource within the Permian program, working closely with the Survey Manager, project managers, and field teams to ensure survey work is executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements. Core responsibilities include professional review and certification of survey documents, ALTA oversight, and advanced boundary analysis in fast-paced project environments. As the team grows, the role may provide day-to-day technical guidance, task coordination, and mentorship to a small number of survey technicians to support workload distribution and maintain quality and schedule performance. A New Mexico PLS license is considered a plus but is not required. The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, practical experience in oil and gas survey workflows, and the ability to adapt that expertise to renewable energy and infrastructure projects, balancing accuracy, defensibility, and project pace without unnecessary rigidity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
