Coverage & Schedule
24-hour on-call coverage
Day shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
Looking for 15-20 days of coverage per month
Local providers preferred
Clinical Responsibilities
Round on an average of 1-5 newborns and 0-2 pediatric patients per day.
Return to the hospital after rounds approximately every 3-4 shifts for urgent needs, which may include:
Care for a sick newborn
Attendance at deliveries when newborn resuscitation is anticipated
Pediatric admissions
Other urgent pediatric needs
Patient Population & Facility Details
The facility does not retain sick newborns or critically ill pediatric patients.
Sick newborns and critically ill pediatric patients are transferred to other facilities.
Requirements
Pediatric Hospitalist preferred
Family Medicine physicians with strong pediatric experience will be considered
Active Minnesota medical license required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
