About Us
Flathead Harbor at Lakeside is a waterfront bar & grill on the shores of Flathead Lake, offering casual American cuisine, cocktails, and live music with some of the best views in Montana. With a large lakeside patio, indoor seating, six screens for game day, and daily drink and food specials, we're a hub for locals and visitors enjoying marina life, boat tours, and lake-town hospitality.
The Role
We're looking for an energetic, personable Bartender to join our team at the Harbor Grille. You'll be the face behind the bar — mixing great drinks, keeping the energy up, and making sure every guest feels welcome, whether they just stepped off a boat or settled in for the game.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve a full range of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, with speed and consistency
- Greet and engage guests, offer menu and drink recommendations, and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
- Take food and drink orders accurately and coordinate with kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- Check IDs and monitor guests' alcohol consumption in accordance with Montana state law and responsible service practices
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Support daily drink and food specials, promotions, and live music/event nights
- Assist with restocking, inventory, and light cleaning/closing duties
- Work as part of a team to deliver excellent service during high-volume periods (weekends, sporting events, summer season)
What We're Looking For
- Prior bartending or serving experience preferred
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine service
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any required Montana alcohol service certification
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Must be 18+ (21+ preferred) per Montana law
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak summer season
