Quality Lab Inspector I

Conduct dimensional and visual inspections on Metal Injection Molded parts. Use networked computer system and various gauges to collect and store quality data. Complete quality documents to support product certifications. Use networked database system to create quality records and corrective action notices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Read and follow technical instructions. - 20%
• Use various precision inspection gauges including micrometers, indicators, hardness testers, coordinate measuring machines, etc. - 30%
• Collect and store inspection data to create quality records. - 25%
• Certify production lots for shipment. - 10%
• Create corrective action notices for discrepant material. - 10%
• Communicate technical information within the organization. - 5%

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently with a high level of integrity.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
• Adaptable to various responsibilities and ability to multi-task.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills: Windows, Excel, Word, Email.
• Ability to read, interpret, and file quality documents.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear and see.
