Job Responsibilities Interact with co‑workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff consistent with Jefferson values. Minimum Qualifications Advanced Diploma graduate of an accredited nursing school. Knowledge of patient‑ and family‑centered practice, including respect for cultural beliefs. Effective communication skills to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas and information. Understanding of partnership language with patients and families. Ability to evaluate patient assessments and develop treatment plans. Knowledge of child and adult education techniques; ability to elicit learning priorities and educate patients and care partners on condition, treatment, medications, and recovery steps. Medication administration and prescribing knowledge for out‑patient continuation. Discharge planning knowledge; collaborate with patient and family in discharge plan and follow‑up. Ability to use assessment tools, nursing diagnosis, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based solutions. Health information documentation skills in medical records (written or electronic). Additional Requirements BLS – Basic Life Support. AHA – American Heart Association certification. Registered Nurse license in PA or NJ. Active RN license required in state of practice. Physical demands: lift and carry 40–50 lbs.; push/pull patients on bed, stretcher; lateral transfers up to 50 lbs.; frequent standing/walking; patient transport up to 8–10 miles per shift; perform CPR as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) or completion of BSN or an advanced degree within 3 years of hire. At least 1 year previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
