Description

Job Title: Custodian Department: Operations Reports to: Custodial Supervisor Supervises Others: No DOL Status: Full-Time Exemption Status: Hourly; Non-exempt

General Summary: Responsible for performing general clean-up and janitorial duties throughout the Resch Complex.

Job Duties:

• Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.
• Responsible for conferring daily with supervisor to receive tasks and priority assignments.
• Performs cleaning and janitorial tasks, as assigned. These would include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and waxing.
• Cleans up spills and biohazard spills to maintain a safe environment for patrons and employees.
• Notes and reports of any irregularities or discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
• Performs event set-up and tear-down, as necessary.
• Responsible for following, observing, and participating in all Company related safety programs, procedures, and training, as well as reporting potentially unsafe procedures.
• Periodically communicates tasks to part-time staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on the event schedule and current workload.
• Performs other job-related tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Approximately 3 to 6 months of related work experience required to gain a full understanding of custodial operations.
• Must possess physical abilities and endurance to lift and move equipment repeatedly throughout the work shift.
• Must be able to operate a floor buffer, carpet shampoo machine, automatic driving floor scrubber, floor sweeper and other related equipment.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of company personnel, outside contractors, and sales personnel when discussing clients' needs and to direct subordinate personnel.
• Analytical skills necessary to delegate work to part-time staff when needed.
• Full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity to operate custodial equipment.
• Eye-hand coordination to operate custodial equipment.
• Standing, climbing, bending, and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Frequently handles and lifts, carries, or pulls items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to distinguish and identify colors.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Other Expectations:

• Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending, or reaching for extensive periods of time.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
• Requires hearing within normal range and eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read communications, reports, and computer terminals.
• Requires working in a fast-paced environment and, on occasion, irregular work hours as dictated by schedule of events.
• Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with daily workload and a variety of people.
• Normal work environment includes working indoors at the Resch Complex. Periodically works outdoors as dictated by event schedule.
