Immediate opening for a Production Control Specialist in Paramount, CA who possesses:

• 2+ years of production control, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or CNC machining
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and creating production or part schedules
• Strong understanding of production workflow, work orders, material availability, and scheduling
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Control Specialist to support production planning, scheduling, workflow coordination, material tracking, and daily manufacturing operations within a CNC machining environment. This role is responsible for creating and adjusting production schedules, monitoring work orders, tracking materials and outside processing requirements, coordinating across manufacturing departments, and ensuring jobs move efficiently through production to meet customer deadlines and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have production control experience in a manufacturing environment, strong ERP/MRP skills, knowledge of CNC machining workflows, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Creating, managing, and adjusting daily and weekly production schedules
• Supporting CNC machining and manufacturing operations through effective production planning
• Monitoring work orders and job status to support on-time delivery
• Tracking production progress and identifying potential delays or bottlenecks
• Prioritizing jobs based on customer deadlines, machine availability, material readiness, and production requirements
• Coordinating with Machining, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to resolve production issues
• Tracking raw materials, tooling, and outside processing requirements
• Identifying material or resource shortages that could impact production schedules
• Maintaining accurate production records, job travelers, and ERP/MRP system data
• Creating and maintaining part schedules
• Reviewing capacity planning and machine utilization
• Supporting efficient allocation of machines, labor, materials, and production resources
• Communicating schedule changes and production updates to supervisors and leadership
• Supporting inventory control activities
• Assisting with cycle counts and material reconciliation
• Monitoring workflow through each stage of production
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead-time reduction, productivity, and process efficiency
• Ensuring production activities align with applicable quality requirements
• Following company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• 2+ years of production control, scheduling, planning, or manufacturing coordination experience required
• 3+ years of related experience preferred
• Experience working within a CNC machining or machine shop environment preferred
• Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred
• Experience in medical, automotive, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing environments also considered
• Understanding of CNC machining processes including milling, turning, setup, and workflow sequencing preferred
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software required
• Experience creating and maintaining production schedules required
• Experience tracking work orders and manufacturing job status required
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, production documentation, and blueprints preferred
• Strong organizational skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong problem-solving skills required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Knowledge of capacity planning and machine utilization preferred
• Inventory control and cycle counting experience preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles a plus
• Familiarity with ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems preferred
• APICS or related production planning certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively across Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping teams
• Strong attention to detail required
• Ability to work onsite in Paramount, CA

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing production schedules, work orders, ERP/MRP data, reports, and manufacturing documentation
• Ability to stand and walk throughout production, machining, warehouse, and office areas as needed
• Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, documentation, inventory activities, and standard office tasks
• Ability to review blueprints, job travelers, production schedules, work orders, inventory records, spreadsheets, and computer screens for extended periods
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person with production personnel, supervisors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout manufacturing areas as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move production documents, materials, parts, or supplies as required
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all applicable manufacturing, machining, quality, and safety procedures
• Ability to maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail while supporting multiple production priorities
