RN – Intermediate Care / MedSurg Step-DownScheduleShifts: Nights — 3x12 or 4x12. Every other weekend required.Assignment DetailsThe unit typically has a census of 18–26 beds, caring for adult acute patients.RequirementsMust have a valid RN license.1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.Travel experience accepted.BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.Ability to manage ratios of approximately 1:5–1:7.Core clinical skills in telemetry, IV therapy, airway management, and more.ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients using continuous telemetry, pulse oximetry, and invasive lines.Administer and titrate IV infusions as needed.Manage non-invasive airway support including BIPAP.Implement isolation precautions and care for wounds and feeding tubes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.Compliance / NotesOrientation consists of 24 hours.
