Cafe or Restaurant Manager

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Key Responsibilities Plan and review food and beverage menus in consultation with the Head Chef and kitchen team, ensuring the menu reflects customer preferences, seasonal availability, service capacity, and the bar and bistro’s dining standards. Plan, coordinate, and organise special functions, group bookings, events, private gatherings, and promotional dining occasions to support customer demand and business growth. Arrange the purchasing and pricing of food, beverages, and other operational supplies in accordance with approved budgets, supplier arrangements, cost controls, and profitability requirements. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, supplier purchases, sales, cash handling, and financial transactions relating to the restaurant, bar, and bistro operations. Ensure the dining areas, bar facilities, service areas, and customer spaces comply with health and safety regulations and are maintained in a clean, functional, presentable, and customer-ready condition. Communicate with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals, beverages, service standards, and overall dining experience, and address any feedback or concerns professionally. Select, train, roster, supervise, and support waiting staff, bar staff, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with business procedures, and consistent customer service standards. Take reservations, greet guests, manage table allocation, assist with customer orders when required, and support front‑of‑house operations during busy service periods. Qualifications Qualifications: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2). At least 1‑3 year experience required.
