LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Plainview Healthcare Center in Plainview, Texas. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting, working closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Administer medications to patients and ensure accurate dosing
Provide basic nursing care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Record and report vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care and tracheostomy care
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
Follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection and ensure a safe environment
Requirements
Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma from an accredited nursing program
1+ years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or equivalent
Current LPN/LVN license in the state of Texas
BLS Certification (preferred)
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and priorities tasks accordingly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
