Overview

Supervise and support accounting staff, including assigning work, providing guidance, and monitoring performance. Manage and perform monthly close processes, financial reporting, and related accounting procedures. Ensure accounts payable obligations are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable activity and coordinate collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax and reporting requirements. Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for financial and ERP systems, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and company standards. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Perform and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting records. Ensure appropriate controls are in place over accounting transactions and financial reporting processes. Assist with the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements. Analyze financial results, budgeting variances, and key performance indicators. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making. Support audits, compliance activities, and other accounting-related projects as needed. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience required. 3+ years of accounting leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience managing monthly close and financial statement preparation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/accounting systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis preferred. CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus but not required. Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls preferred. Ability to work independently while effectively managing team responsibilities.
