At Kanaan Communications, LLC, as a Cable Installation Technician, you’ll safely install and troubleshoot video services, internet, telephone, and alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses. Earning potential can be up to $1,500 per week based on your skill set and workload. All work completed is paid by piece work, which depends on what is being installed. The wage range for Cable Installation Technician is $18.00 - $37.50. What You’ll Do Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement Educate the customer regarding product and service usage Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed Perform work in all weather conditions Other duties as assigned What You’ll Need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Previous experience in cable installation or a related field preferred Physical Abilities & Exposures Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
