Role Description: This is a part-time, on-site Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role located in Gastonia, NC. The RBT will implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), working directly with children across home, school, and community settings. Daily responsibilities include collecting accurate data on targeted behaviors and skill acquisition, following behavior intervention plans, and supporting the development of communication, social, academic, and daily living skills. The RBT will collaborate with caregivers, educators, and clinical team members to promote consistency, share progress updates, and reinforce treatment goals. Additional tasks may include preparing session materials, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and participating in ongoing training to ensure the highest quality of care. Qualifications Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. Experience working directly with children, preferably in ABA, special education, mental health, or related fields. Strong observational, data collection, and documentation skills to accurately track behaviors and progress. Ability to implement behavior intervention plans and follow clinical protocols with consistency and integrity. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with caregivers, BCBAs, educators, and team members. Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. Physical ability to engage in active sessions (e.g., play-based activities, occasional lifting or assisting) and work in various settings. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred. Reliability, professional boundaries, and strong ethical standards in working with children and families.
