As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established hospital protocols. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access‑control procedures in accordance with site requirements. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. X‑ray screening experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
