Nuclear Medicine Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (06:00 - 18:30).

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will provide high-quality imaging and diagnostic services while ensuring safety protocols for handling radioactive materials. The role involves performing various nuclear medicine procedures and maintaining patient comfort during examinations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including HIDA scans, bone scans, lung studies, and thyroid studies.
• Administer contrast agents as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Handle and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with regulations.
• Start and maintain IVs for procedures.
• Document all procedures electronically and maintain accurate patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Certifications: ARRT (N), CNMT, BLS, NYS Contrast Injection Certification.
• Experience with GE, Siemens, Philips, or Hitachi equipment.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
