Engineering Manager - £580 to £600 outside IR35 - London (3 days per week) La Fosse have partnered with a ecommerce to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager into their established team. This role is suited to a hands‑on leader with a strong background in Java/JVM environments, driving the delivery of scalable microservices. You’ll champion automation and DevOps practices, working across CI/CD pipelines, testing, and cloud-native platforms to deliver high-quality software at scale. Key Requirements Strong commercial experience in Java/JVM environments, with the ability to lead and mentor engineers Experience designing and delivering microservices-based architectures Advocate of DevOps practices (“you build it, you run it”) Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, and deployment automation Familiarity with modern engineering practices: automated testing, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability Tech Stack Backend development using Java across frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Micronaut Frontend exposure across React, Next.js, Angular, or TypeScript Cloud-native environments on Azure, with Kubernetes for orchestration Observability tooling such as Dynatrace (or similar) Data storage across SQL Server and MongoDB Caching and in-memory technologies such as Redis or Ignite #J-18808-Ljbffr
