Job Summary A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse is needed in Tacoma, Washington. This Level III–IV NICU setting at a high‑level children’s hospital with approximately 70 beds requires you to bring your license on the first day. The role may involve floating to the emergency room and participating in a flexible weekend rotation. Details Specialty: NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Schedule: Night shifts (07:00 PM to 07:30 AM) Qualifications Valid Washington state nursing license. Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). At least two years of experience in a Level III or IV NICU. Appropriate nursing degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience with respiratory support for vents, trachs, g‑tubes, NG/OG tubes, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, medication administration, care planning and discharge to home. Positive attitude and friendliness. First‑time traveler consideration; prior travel experience is strongly preferred. Patient Population Preterm infants down to 22 weeks gestation, including diagnoses such as respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), high‑risk deliveries, NAS, and congenital issues like hypoxic‑ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
