Luca Lagotto Italian Restaurant and Market is a lively new space in the heart of Homewood, AL that is focused on featuring delicious Italian specialties including housemade pasta, pizza, small plates and entree selections. Luca features a full bar with classic and specialty cocktails as well as wines by the glass or bottle.

As a server at LUCA, you will be responsible for providing guests with a distinctive dining experience by delivering the highest service levels and guiding them through our menus. You will also be expected to make food and beverage recommendations that meet or exceed guest expectations while taking accurate orders. Providing friendly and attentive service that builds the guest's intent to return is crucial to the role's success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maximize sales by having extensive knowledge about all the food and beverage offerings. Recommend and upsell items to the customers. Keep menu knowledge up-to-date to communicate effectively with guests regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens. Follow all the Steps of Service and brand standards while creating a hospitable, welcoming, and memorable experience for all guests.
• Follow all federal, state, and city laws and ordinances concerning handling and responsibly selling alcoholic beverages. Proper handling of cash, credit cards, and end-of-shift reporting is essential. All alcohol should be served in proper containers and adhere to all pricing. Similarly, all food should be served in proper containers and adhere to all pricing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including side stations, floors, shelves, and all storage areas. Ensure that work areas are properly stocked for effective and timely service. Maintain a well-groomed, professional, and polished appearance.
• Keep working knowledge of LUCA's brand and culture. Ensure all spaces are set according to floor plans. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Leadership team.

Requirements include:

• Previous experience working as a server in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
• Outstanding hospitality skills and the ability to deliver exceptional service to guests.
• Strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently, take direction effectively, and communicate professionally.
• A flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
