Registered Nurse (RN)This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Telemetry Unit, providing high-quality care for patients with various medical and surgical needs. The successful candidate will join a highly functioning team in a supportive and family-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide care for medical/surgical overflow patients, including non-acute stroke patients.Titrate medication drips, including insulin and pain medications.Assess and validate telemetry strips as required.Work collaboratively with a charge nurse and house supervisor to ensure unit efficiency.Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary team members and patients.Unit InformationUnit: Telemetry, 7th FloorNumber of Beds: 32Patient Ratios: 4:1 (50%), 5:1 (50%)Nurse Aides present with an average ratio of 8:1 to 10:1.Equipment Available: BiPAP, High Flow therapy.Scheduling and AvailabilityShift Length: 12 hours.Weekend Requirement: Rotational based on unit needs.Holiday Requirement: One winter and one summer holiday.Self-scheduling available, with the potential for standby shifts.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required.Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.Epic experience is essential.Valid nursing license and relevant certifications.Orientation and SupportUnit-specific orientation will be provided.Collaborative team environment with strong support from colleagues.No scheduled time off for travelers during the first week of assignment.For inquiries, please contact the recruitment office for further details.
