Registered Nurse (RN) - TelemetryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical experience, with a strong focus on telemetry nursing. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting.Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.Titrate and manage medication drips such as insulin and pain medications.Validate telemetry strips and collaborate with the healthcare team for patient management.Contribute to the high-functioning team environment, ensuring quality patient care.Participate in self-scheduling and fill open shifts as needed.Shifts and SchedulingThis position is for night shifts, with a primary schedule of 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Weekend requirements will be based on unit needs. Holidays require one winter and one summer rotation. There may be standby requirements, and floating to other units may be necessary.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of medical-surgical experience with telemetry.Current BLS Certification and NIHSS certification required.EPIC experience is mandatory.Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.Unit InformationUnit Type: Telemetry, with 32 beds.Patient Ratios: 4:1 for 50% of the time, 5:1 for the remaining 50%.Common diagnoses include medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients.Additional support staff include nurse aides with average ratios of 8:1 or 10:1.Additional NotesThis unit promotes a family-oriented and supportive environment, providing the opportunity for professional growth within a highly functioning team. No requests for time off (RTO) will be accepted during the first week of the assignment.
