Sr. FP&A Analyst

General Summary Working under the supervision of the FP&A Supervisor, the Senior FP&A Analyst will lead the financial planning, analysis, forecasting and reporting functions across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of the organization, providing senior leadership with actionable insights and enabling data‑driven decision‑making. The analyst will work closely with various departments to refine financial processes, improve budget management, and track performance against financial goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership in Financial Planning & Budgeting (15%) – lead budgeting process and fiscal planning. Advanced Financial Analysis & Reporting (20%) – perform variance analysis, dashboards, and presentations to board and executives. Grant and Fund Management Analysis (10%) – analyze grant and donation streams and ensure compliance. Strategic Decision Support (5%) – provide financial insights for strategic initiatives. Performance Monitoring & Key Metrics Development (15%) – develop and track KPIs. Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration (20%) – partner with other functional leaders. Financial Systems and Process Improvement (15%) – enhance ERP and reporting systems. Minimum Required Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Experience 5+ years in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably in non‑profit sector. Experience with complex financial structures, grants, donations and multi‑source funding in a non‑profit environment. Expertise in building and maintaining financial models, performing advanced variance analysis, creating forecasts and budgets. Strong experience in financial reporting, including board‑level presentations, executive summaries and dashboards. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas). Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar. Strong knowledge of non‑profit accounting standards including GAAP, fund accounting and regulatory compliance. Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills to translate data for non‑financial stakeholders. Work Schedule Hybrid, full‑time; weekdays Monday‑Friday, regular business hours. Work Environment Office environment – indoor, ambient temperature and noise level. Background & Health Clearance Requirements Live Scan Clearance / DOJ Fingerprinting – required for positions working directly with the public in child/community care settings. Health Clearance – required for roles working with at‑risk populations in child/community care settings. MVR / DMV clearance – required for positions where driving is necessary. Child Development Permit – required for positions working in an educational capacity. CPR / Pediatric CPR certification – required for certain direct‑public positions.
