Position Overview Supervising Registered Nurse III, Correctional Facility Location and Contact California State Prison Solano (Sol), Vacaville, CA, Solano County. Job ID: JC-518599, Position Number: 674-213-9319-XXX Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of correctional facility nursing services program. Plan, assign, supervise and evaluate work of subordinate supervisors, nurses, and assigned staff. Disseminate and implement policies, procedures, supervisory rules and principles. Assist in resolution of labor relations issues, set goals for self and others, and ensure continuity of quality patient care. Ensure implementation of effective training and competency validation programs for nursing services. Actively participate and support the Complete Care Model. Minimum Qualifications Current California state license issued by the Board of Registered Nursing. Either (I) One year experience as Supervising Registered Nurse II in California state service; (II) Three years experience as Supervising Registered Nurse I; or (III) Four years registered nursing experience (last 10 years) in a licensed general acute care hospital, with at least two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity. BSc or MSc in Nursing may substitute for one year of general acute care hospital experience. Candidates within six months of completing the experience requirements may be admitted to the examination, but must complete all requirements before appointment. Must pass the required examination through CalCareers.
