Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment Setting: Intensive Care / Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts Hours: 36 hours per week; 80 hours every 2 weeks Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 Start Date: September 14, 2026 Location: Waimea, Hawaii Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current nursing credentials Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing, critical care nursing, or acute care nursing experience required Experience caring for surgical, respiratory, and cardiac patients preferred Must be willing to work rotating shifts and any assigned shift as needed Ability to float to OB, Med-Surg, PACU, and ER based on competency Strong critical thinking skills and comfort managing patients with varying acuity levels Ability to complete orientation and competency requirements upon arrival Responsibilities Provide skilled, age-appropriate care to ICU/CCU patients across the lifespan Monitor and support patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and deliver safe, effective nursing care Care for a patient ratio of approximately 1:2, depending on acuity Assist with ventilated patients and support staffing adjustments as needed Float to other areas such as OB, Med-Surg, PACU, and ER when appropriate and within competency Complete hospital and unit orientation, including competency documentation Location Waimea offers a scenic island setting with access to Kauai's breathtaking landscapes, peaceful surroundings, and strong sense of community.
