Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient hand therapy assignment in California, requiring a minimum of 5 years of outpatient hand therapy experience and a valid CA OT license.

Details

• Outpatient hand therapy setting
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 11:00–19:30
• Patient population spans pre-teens through geriatric individuals
• Cases include post-operative conditions, acute injuries, workers' compensation, and chronic orthopedic upper extremity disorders
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active California OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting
• Proficiency in splint fabrication for post-operative, acute, and chronic conditions
• Experience treating a wide range of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses
• CHT certification preferred but not required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
