This position is needed to support predictive and preventive maintenance systems with a focus on cost reduction, efficiency, and safety improvements, and process flow. Core Competencies Teamwork Communication Decision making Initiative Works standards Ownership Organizing Technical Competences Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and ERP software Ability to understand and interpret process settings and center lines Ability to learn and become proficient with FIRM, ADP, and other internal database and tracking software Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes, production schedules, and operations documents Advanced troubleshooting skills and mechanical abilities Statistical analysis skills with the ability to establish and audit against goals Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties Behavioral Competences Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment preferably of a large size, high speed nature Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, conflict‑resolution, and decision‑making skills Strong organization skills with attention to detail Possesses a quality and customer‑focused mindset Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and coach other team members Can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Familiar with air and water pollution control technology and federal, state, and community regulatory agency workings Willingness and ability to learn and perform in other functions in the plant Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed Possess human resource skills to relate effectively with people of diverse background Self‑motivated and able to work with a minimal amount of daily supervision Ability to work well with all functions in the plant to accomplish the objectives of the assignment Key Responsibilities Develop and implement project management systems related to preventive and reactive maintenance Work with maintenance team to diagnose equipment faults and develop long‑term solutions Respond to breakdowns to identify system failures, and assist in the repair of equipment Create maintenance procedures to ensure effective diagnosis of equipment failure and necessary preventive measures Make recommendations for necessary machine improvements and proactively seek approval from Maintenance Manager on special components, fixtures, and fittings Manage the budget and allocate funds to maintenance projects, forecast future spending Provide leadership for project execution to technicians and other maintenance team members Manage inventory of supplies and equipment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Develop and maintain metrics around equipment functionality and financial impact Perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires frequent lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
