Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity – Night Shift Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235‑bed acute‑care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. Job Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the night shift, providing safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The role requires professional leadership, support to the team, and emphasis on patient‑centered care and service excellence. Responsibilities include stroke patient care, stroke alert protocols, ICU telemedicine consults, NIHSS documentation, and endovascular treatment preparation, with annual continuation training. Responsibilities Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Demonstrates patient‑centered care and Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke and initiates a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assists the ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician examination/evaluation and transports inpatient stroke alert to and from CT scan. Performs and documents the NIHSS and bedside swallow. Assists with preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated. Provides care for stroke patients on the unit. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 8‑hour online training. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute‑care setting. Current BLS certification (current upon hire). Current ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty. Current Florida nursing license. Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
