Project Manager

The Axel Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client's team in the Sarasota, FL area. This role will oversee major civil infrastructure projects, including FDOT roadway construction, underground utilities, stormwater, drainage, and municipal work. The ideal candidate will have strong FDOT and roadway/utility construction experience and is looking for a long-term leadership opportunity. Responsibilities: Manage civil infrastructure projects from planning and bidding through completion Oversee FDOT roadway, signalization, stormwater, drainage, water, and utility piping projects Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, documentation, and execution Coordinate with FDOT, municipalities, counties, subcontractors, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with all FDOT, municipal, county, safety, and quality requirements Track project progress, budgets, schedules, and milestones Supervise and mentor internal staff as part of a long-term leadership plan Requirements: 5-10 years of experience in FDOT roadway construction, municipal infrastructure, transportation, and utilities Strong knowledge of FDOT specifications and public-sector construction requirements Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams Roadway, utilities, stormwater/drainage, and municipal construction experience Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred; equivalent experience considered Compensation: $120,000-150,000 base + performance bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr The Axel Group, LLC
