Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the medical-surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to promote health, safety, and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and gather relevant clinical data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure positive outcomes.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, overseeing proper care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Maintain current BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
