Experienced Leasing Consultant

Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our team! If you’re a people person with strong sales skills, excellent communication, and a passion for helping people find the right place to call home, we want to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for a leasing professional who knows how to build relationships, follow up with prospective residents, and confidently close the deal.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct engaging and professional apartment tours that showcase the community and help prospects envision themselves living there
• Respond promptly to leasing inquiries and follow up with prospective residents throughout the leasing process
• Build strong relationships with prospects and residents while providing exceptional customer service
• Identify prospect needs and recommend apartment homes that best fit their lifestyle and budget
• Prepare and maintain accurate leasing documentation, applications, and related paperwork
• Stay current on apartment availability, pricing, specials, and community information
• Assist with lease preparation, renewals, move-ins, and other leasing-related activities
• Maintain a strong understanding of community amenities, policies, and services
• Monitor local market trends and competitor activity
• Work collaboratively with the property management team to achieve occupancy and leasing goals
• Provide a welcoming, professional experience from the first interaction through move-in day

What We’re Looking For

• Previous leasing or property management experience required
• 1+ year of property management experience required
• Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs preferred
• Leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident, professional, and personable approach with prospective and current residents
• Strong sales ability with a proven ability to follow up and close leases
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional phone, email, and in-person communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
