Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration: Manage the day‑to‑day operations of group benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans. Ensure benefits are administered in accordance with plan documents, company policies, and legal requirements. Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer (vendor/employee) inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment. Compliance and Reporting: Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA. Lead the process of preparing and submitting required filings such as 5500s and other compliance documentation. Leave of Absence Management: Assist with LOA processing/management, supporting the LOA Benefits Program Manager. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, brokers, and carriers to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and renew benefit plans. Open Enrollment: Assist with the planning and execution of the annual open enrollment process, including system updates, communication materials, and employee and vendor support. Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and benefits administration systems. Assist vendors in building, testing, implementing, and monitoring file feeds with external partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role. Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA). Proficiency with HRIS and benefits management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing benefits in a multi‑state environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
