CNC Mill Operator

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking two experienced CNC Mill Operator to set up and operate CNC milling machines used to produce precision metal parts. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on CNC milling experience, the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments, and a solid understanding of shop mathematics, machining practices, and quality requirements.

Key Performance Deliverables:

• Build effective working relationships with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other team members to support production requirements.
• Apply strong CNC machining knowledge and technical skills to support safe, efficient production and continuous improvement.
• Use machinist tools and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality requirements.
• Set up CNC mills, load and run part programs, make necessary machine adjustments, and monitor machining operations.
• Apply knowledge of machine shop practices, shop mathematics, material machinability, and layout techniques.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision metal parts in accordance with drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings using both standard and metric measurements, and convert between measurement systems as needed.
• Perform shop math calculations accurately using standard formulas and a calculator.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC mill operating experience in a machining or manufacturing environment. CNC milling experience is required; certification is not required but a plus.
• Experience setting up CNC mills, running part programs, making offsets/adjustments, and monitoring machining operations preferred.
• Proficiency using common machinist tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Salary Expectations: $25hr
