Job Description The Sanctions Filter Support role reduces false positive sanctions volumes through rule‑based coding and analytics. The team develops and maintains rules and exceptions using Fircosoft‑based coding, performs impact and regression analysis, and creates detailed reports on OFAC hit rates. Associates analyze data, derive insights, recommend process improvements, and support audits. Responsibilities Work on Fircosoft utilities (FML, FMM, FFF) Develop and maintain rules and exceptions Support reduction of false positives in OFAC queues Work across multiple data sources (databases/NAS drives) using SQL and analytical tools Generate reports and perform analysis to draw data‑driven conclusions Engage with onshore LOB partners and Global Economic Sanctions teams Identify and mitigate risks related to unintended release of genuine OFAC matches Monitor reports and provide updates to reduce operational and compliance risk Organize and analyze data using advanced analytics tools, including VBA Apply data‑driven decision‑making approaches, including Six Sigma concepts Support internal and external audit reviews Manage coding volumes for rules and exceptions Ensure format errors are identified and resolved at the start of day Perform detailed analysis of OFAC hit rates and provide structured outputs to LOB Execute systemic testing (including FOF) to support business requirements Analyze heavy hitter reports to reduce false positive volumes Support initiatives to minimize overall OFAC alert volumes Manage regulatory and compliance risk through ongoing monitoring and controls Contribute to global dashboards and analytics reporting Share and replicate best practices across regions Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and macros Ability to create and maintain VBA modules Experience with MS Access and basic programming knowledge Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis Knowledge of data modeling Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office tools Education B.Tech (CSE/IT/BSc Computer Science) or MCA Experience 2–3 years Foundational Skills SQL, scripting, business analytics, data mining Desired Skills Domain Knowledge on Sanctions/Payments Knowledge of sanctions and payments domain.
