Commercial Underwriter

Evaluating new and renewal business, the full-time Commercial Underwriter will set premiums, perform extensive research, and communicate underwriting information to agents and insureds in a remote position that may require occasional travel. Key responsibilities Evaluate pricing components for new and renewal business Train and mentor underwriters on complex underwriting topics Handle escalations, inquiries, and leadership reviews to support underwriting consistency Required qualifications High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience Experience in commercial auto P&C, including broader coverage or package level review Ability to assist with guideline updates and team communications
