Medical Scribe (Full-time) - Bilingual Cantonese/MandarinAstrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated full-time Bilingual Medical Scribe to support our clinical team at Southern California Heart Center and help deliver exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll work closely with providers to document patient encounters, update diagnosis codes, manage prescriptions, and follow up on complex cases. When you're not scribing, you'll have the opportunity to build your clinical experience by assisting with patient intake, EKGs, and heart monitor placement, as well as gaining exposure to administrative functions such as insurance verification, medical records, and scheduling.Our Values:Put Patients FirstEmpower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care TeamsOperate with Integrity & ExcellenceBe InnovativeWork As One TeamWhat You'll DoAccurately document patient encounters and clinical information for providersUpdate and maintain accurate diagnosis codes and patient recordsSend, verify, and follow up on patient prescriptions as directedMonitor complex patient cases and communicate updates to providers as neededAssist with patient intake and other clinical support activitiesPerform EKGs and assist with heart monitor placementSupport providers with additional clinical tasks when not actively scribingAssist with insurance verification, medical records preparation, and appointment schedulingMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirementsProvide professional and compassionate support to patients and the clinical teamPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diplomaFluent in Cantonese and/or Mandarin strongly preferredProficient understanding of medical terminology, CPT and ICD coding, HIPAA laws/ regulations, human anatomy/physiologyStrong computer keyboard skills (60+ WPM)EMR competenceExcellent navigation of multitasking, organization, and time management skillsPossess advanced communication skills (both written and verbal)Capable of keeping up in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a teamYou'll be great for this role if you have:At least one (1) year of scribing knowledge and experienceCompletion of a medical scribe certificateExperience with transcriptionIntermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working ConditionsThis position is onsite at 506 W. Valley Blvd., Unit #100, San Gabriel, CA 91776.Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
