Mammography Technologist

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. You will operate your assigned machine to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes, providing excellent customer service and guiding patients through the exam process with care and professionalism. Temporary (PRN) position working 8 am to 4 pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure. Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures, ensuring proper positioning and patient understanding of the process. Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout the procedure. Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and utilizes dose reduction techniques as appropriate. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS). Maintains an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements. Mammography Department Support (5%) Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary. Assists with training of new associates, providing technical expertise as applicable. Other Tasks (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned. Remote Position No Status Temporary/PRN Minimum Requirements ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Mammography procedures independently. Certification in imaging specialty. Must have continuing CEU’s in modality as required by MQSA or state specific.
