Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or CCI-RCIS or CVT Must-Have: Experience and proficiency with cases including STEMI, MI, arrhythmias, LHC/RHC, PFO, cardiomems, CTOs, devices, Micras/Aveir, TAVRs, Mitraclips/Triclips, Impellas, IABP. Moderate sedation, initiating and titrating drips, circulating. Knowledge of ACLS. Description: This position involves working in a Cath Lab setting. The unit has 4 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid room. The average census is approximately 15 patients per day. The team includes part-time transporters, schedulers, a Charge RN, and Lead Tech. Support is available with a Rapid Response/Code Team and on-call cardiologists. All technology and equipment used in this unit is specialized. Required skills include scrubbing and circulating for various case types. Orientation includes a timeframe of 1-2 weeks in the unit. Scheduling includes weekend rotations and on-call duty. Holiday expectations will consist of call only. Approval of requests for time off goes through the manager. Block scheduling may be attempted upon request but is not guaranteed. Schedules are made four weeks in advance.
