Job Description Maintenance Mechanic Vancouver, WA Compensation Includes Starting pay rate $37.70 - $40.30/hour In addition to an hourly pay rate, a $1.00 per hour shift differential is applied to all hours worked between 3:00 pm and 6:59 am the following day. Available Shift This position is available on a night shift working Sunday to Wednesday then Saturday to Tuesday from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am. The successful candidate must be able to train for at least 2 months on our Day shift which works Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Responsibilities Perform various activities on equipment and machines, including reassembling machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs. Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Candidate should have 3+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing organization. Must have high‑school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems and machinery. Ability to read blueprints strongly desired. Proficiency with computers is a plus. Good communication skills are required to communicate with supervision and other departments.
