Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Must-Have:
- Experience in medication administration processes adhering to medication rights for patient safety
- Experience in completing medication refills per provider orders and established procedures
- Experience in providing direct care to patients to meet health needs in accordance with established individual plans of care
- Experience in completing point of care sample collection including phlebotomy
- Experience in vaccine and other intramuscular/subcutaneous medication administration
- Experience in providing routine treatments, including but not limited to: wound care, enema administration, topical medication application, colostomy care, surgical preparation procedures
- Ability to report all observations and treatment outcomes to the registered nurse and/or advanced care providers
- Skill in emergency response and appropriate interventions for patients experiencing physiological distress in alignment with BLS standards and per scope of practice
- Proficiency in accurate and complete documentation of all patient care and encounters within an electronic healthcare record


Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for administering medications with adherence to patient safety protocols.
The LPN will complete medication refills as per provider orders and established procedures.
Direct care will be provided to patients based on established individual plans of care.
Point of care sample collection, including phlebotomy, will be performed as part of the role.
The LPN will administer vaccines and other IM/SubQ medications.
Routine treatments such as wound care, enema administration, and topical medication application will be conducted.
Colostomy care and surgical preparation procedures will also be part of the responsibilities.
The LPN will report all observations and treatment outcomes to the registered nurse and/or advanced care providers.
Emergency responses and interventions for patients in physiological distress will be executed in alignment with BLS standards.
Accurate and complete documentation of all patient care and encounters will be required within the electronic healthcare record.
