Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG/Fluxcore Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high‑quality welding using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and flux‑cored arc welding techniques to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet safety standards, blueprint specifications, and quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, contributing to the creation of durable structures and equipment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding and flux‑cored arc welding (FCAW) on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute fabrication tasks. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and alignment. Conduct pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly of mechanical components in accordance with ASME codes and standards. Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging equipment, and other machinery safely to move heavy materials or assembled structures. Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding fumes, fire hazards, and equipment handling. Collaborate with team members on project timelines and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during fabrication or assembly processes as needed. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments with a focus on welding tasks. Strong proficiency in MIG welding techniques; experience with flux‑cored arc welding (FCAW) is highly desirable. Familiarity with TIG welding for precision tasks is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork, pipe threading, and assembly processes. Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication projects. Understanding of safety standards including OSHA regulations related to construction welding environments.
