Job Description Locums | OB/GYN | Call Only | Springfield, OH Why This Role Ongoing laborist coverage need Established OB/GYN team with APP and nursing support High-volume labor and delivery environment Opportunity for recurring weekend coverage Assignment Details Coverage Type: Call Only Setting: Inpatient Hospital Start Date: As Soon As Credentialed Schedule: Friday 7am - Monday 7am Call Type: 24-Hour In-House Laborist Coverage Coverage Need: 2-3 weekends per month ongoing Call Ratio: 1:4 Beds: 34 L& D/Postpartum/Triage Beds Hospital Beds: 205 APP Support: 1 APP per 12-hour shift Support Staff: Labor & Delivery Nurses and Midwives EMR: Epic Requirements Board Certified OB/GYN Active Ohio license BLS ACLS Active DEA NPDB Self-Query dated within 30 days Clean malpractice history Clinical Details 90% Labor and Delivery coverage Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management Fetal heart rate interpretation NST/CST/FSE procedures Obstetric ultrasound performance and interpretation Vaginal deliveries Forceps deliveries C-section decision making and performance Complicated deliveries Breech deliveries Multiple births VBAC management Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations Open gynecologic surgery Diagnostic and minor laparoscopic procedures Tubal ligation Lysis of adhesions Ectopic pregnancy management Oophorectomy and cystectomy procedures Average 5 gynecologic surgeries per day Level II nursery Four OB/GYN physicians in practice Approximately 60% low-risk and 40% high-risk obstetric population
