2 nd Shift (2:30PM -10:30PM)

Job Summary

ISC is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will safely set up, operate, and maintain CNC oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment to produce high-quality steel components according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, operating CNC burn tables, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC oxy-fuel and plasma burn tables.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Program and adjust burn table settings as needed.
• Perform accurate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting on steel materials.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with other production tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of experience operating a CNC plasma or oxy-fuel burn table preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for machine operation and programming.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Messer, Burny 10, Edge Pro, or similar CNC control systems.
• Experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and measuring equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear required PPE.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and moving equipment.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing work conditions and safety situations.
